Happy Chinese New Year

Visit reception for small gifts, food and a small event if you are part of our Nottingham student accommodation!

traditional gifts

Many people who celebrate the Chinese New Year give small gifts to friends and family. Traditionally the gifts are in red colours. Many small etiquettes are involved in these proceedings!

Year of the tiger

Known as the king of all beasts in China, this year symbolises strength, braveness and overcoming difficulty. This tradition has different meanings depending on the animal.

Chinese decoration

To get our students truly in the mood for celebrating, we have decorated our entire reception with many traditional ornaments. Come and see for yourself at Manor Villages!
